Roy Jones Jr vs Bernard Hopkins April 3rd – It has been long overdo, 17 years to be exact but the rematch between Roy Jones Jr and Bernard Hopkins will finally happen on Saturday April 3rd.

17 years ago Roy Jones Jr beat Bernard Hopkins and both have been talking trash ever since. But Jones Jr has seemingly been ducking Hopkins for quite sometime and this rematch that is taking place should have actually happened a couple of years ago.

What’s done in the past is done but these two fighters who will go down in history as some of the greatest fighters ever. The rematch fight simply won’t be the same though because both fighters have lost a step or two as years passed. Jones Jr is now 41 and Hopkins is 45 and both have had mediocre records in their last fights.

Jones Jr has gone 5-5 in his last 10 matches which is pretty bad since he won his first 40 career fights. Hopkins has also been pretty mediocre as of late going 4-3 in his last few fights. But whether they haven’t been up to par in their last fights, it doesn’t stop them from all the trash talking.

I believe Hopkins has the slight edge over Jones Jr but we won’t know what will happen until the fight this weekend.
