Santonio Holmes Sued for Alleged Assault
Santonio Holmes Sued for Alleged Assault – If you think Ben Roethlisberger was the only Steeler facing legal troubles, well, he’s not the only one. Apparently, Santonio Holmes is being sued in civil court for allegedly throwing a glass full of liquor at a woman.
In the suit, it was reported that Anchonoe Mills alleged being ordered to leave the couch of a VIP section of the Rain Night Club in Orlando on March 7 by Holmes. And after a tussle over who would stay at the couch, Mills claims that Holmes threw a glass filled with liquor into her face and the glass had cut her.
In addition to that claim, the suit also mentions that Holmes as well as members of the Orlando Police Department was trying to pressure Mills into not pressing charges because of his reputation as an NFL player. Supposedly, Holmes offered her money as well.
So far, there have been no comments from any of Holmes’ reps yet but Mills’ attorney is apparently waiting for a response. According to Jacques Cooper, who is representing Mills, he said to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that “We’re not really making comments in-depth about the matter at this time. We’re still looking into the matter and are waiting to hear from Mr. Holmes’ people.”
More to come.
