Tiger Woods Gets Early Lead In Barclays With A 65 - Is he back?  Tiger Woods has seen some rough times on the golf course ever since the devestating news of his extra curricular activities outside his marriage.  Tiger Woods shot fantasic in the recent Barclays Tournament with seven birdies and one bogey.  This is his lowest round of the year, a seven-under par 65 that put him in a tie for the early lead of the tournament with Vaughn Taylor.

He also had the earliest tee off time of his career.  He woke up at around 3:50am and had to be ready to tee off at 7:10am.  Woods was quoting for saying, “I get up early anyway,” he said. “I was O.K.”  Woods had been training a week before with his new unofficial coach Sean Foley.  The training paid off as Woods made quite a few great shots to put him right in the lead with a 65.

Although it was the first time Woods had to tee off this early it worked out to his advantage.  “Playing early was an advantage because the greens were perfect,”, Woods said.  Woods did credit Foley with helping him with his swing.  He did not say that Foley would be his official coach though.  It will be interesting to see how he performs next.

Wood’s performance is even more impressive because this same week his divorce was completed and his ex-wife spoke out publically about the divorce for the first time.  She spend hours telling her side of the story to the press.

I would imagine now that Woods is a single father and with the divorce over, he should be able to focus his mind more on his golf game.  What is done is done, now he can move on with his life.  I won’t be surprised if the world’s greatest golfer works his way right back to the top.
