MLB Trade Deadline 2010 - Roy Oswalt To Phillies, Lance Berkman To Yankees, Ted Lilly To Dodgers

MLB Trade Deadline 2010 – Roy Oswalt To Phillies, Lance Berkman To Yankees, Ted Lilly To Dodgers – There has been a lot of surprises so far with the trades taking place right before the MLB trade deadline which ends at the end of the day today.

Here are some last minute trades that took place just before the deadline approaches:

- Roy Oswalt waives his non-trade clause to sign with the Phillies
- Lance Berkman heads to the Yankees and will more than likely be their full-time DH, Austin Kearns also gets sent to the Yankees to help out bench
- Ted Lilly gets sent to the Dodgers
- Chad Qualls was traded to the Rays
- Ryan Ludwick and Miguel Tejada gets sent to the Padres
- Edwin Jackson gets traded to the White Sox (But rumor has it that he may not stay very long because people are saying the Nationals are interesting in potentially trading for him with Adam Dunn)
- Matt Capps gets sent to the Twins

I believe those trades were the most notable ones within the last couple of days and all of the above will help contending teams in the near future. Though, it’s too early to tell but I’m sure there will be a handful of trades that take place by the end of today.

Stay tuned!
