Cyanics Introduces Mai Coffee Cup Speaker for iPod
Cyanics Introduces Mai Coffee Cup Speaker for iPod – ITM, Inc., under its Cyanics brand label, has just introduced the Mai Coffee Cup Portable Speaker for the iPod, iPhone and other MP3 players. Mai – My – yeah, Hawaiian coffee – cute.
Cyanics says it’s lightweight (hey, it’s the size of a coffee cup – let’s hope so) and sports a 2-watt amplifier.
They also mention in their description that the built-in rechargeable battery (Li-Polymer) will play up to 6 hours of music but that hasn’t been verified. It does have a LED displays for charging status as well as operational status plus it has a USB port so you can charge it from a computer.
The two audio jacks are 3.5mm and there’s one on the inside and one on the outside.
As you can see from the picture, you can place a small MP3 player inside the cup. The player needs to be about the size of a Nano 4G/5G or smaller.
The Mai Coffee Cup Speaker package runs about $19 right now and includes a USB charging cable (thank you,) a 3.5mm audio cable and a manual. Why you’d need the manual, I don’t know – maybe for the charging times? I would actually prefer that they supply this as a.pdf file online since I’ll never look at the thing again after I read it through once.
You can find Mai Coffee Cup Speaker along with other Cyanics products at Amazon, buy.com, ebay, newegg and Sears.
If you decide to hide your player on the inside while at work, don’t leave it unattended or the night maintenance crew will probably toss it in the trash.
