Mass Save Rebate On Appliances To Support Earth Day
Mass Save Rebate On Appliances To Support Earth Day – The Mass Save rebates is a way to help Massachusetts residents save money on certain energy saving appliances they bought. Mass Save is a way to celebrate Earth Day which is today, April 22nd.
There are plenty of Earth Day activities and events going on today and this one is helpful to the Earth as well as the pockets of residents who purchased certain energy saving appliances.
Today is the first day of Massachusett’s Mass Save Great Appliance Exchange which actually started at 10 AM this morning. Mass Save Rebate can help Massachusetts residents save on purchases up to $675 in rebates.
Below are the rebates that are being offered for specific appliances:
- Dishwashers: $250
- Refrigerators: $200
- Clothes Washers: $175
- Freezers: $50
If you’re looking for a Mass Save Rebate number or the form, you can either call 1-877-627-9271 or try their website at www.masssave.com/residential.
Once you obtain your number and have the form filled out, check the list of stores who are participating in this and which appliances qualify for it. When you get your new appliance, you need to mail back the form, sales receipt as well as an electric bill showing the appliance was set up.
Keep in mind that if you participate in this program, you also need to recycle your old appliance.
According to Frank Gorke of the Mass. Department of Energy Resources, “People who participate in the program are required to recycle an old appliance — the same (type of) appliance — and it’s got to be in working condition.”
Here are the guidelines you need to follow:
- Make purchase by May 5th
- Reserve a right to claim a rebate
- Appliances must be bought from an approved retailer
- Purchase appliance on the rebate list
- Old appliance must be recycled
- Provide receipt, electric bill proving the new appliance is set up
- Must be a MA resident
Hope that helps! Enjoy the Mass Save rebates and Earth day!
