Basketball Wives VH1 Reality Show Causing Controversy

Basketball Wives VH1 Reality Show Causing ControversyBasketball Wives, the new reality show on VH1 that just premiered Sunday night is already stirring up some controversy.

The show is basically about seven women who are or were linked to NBA basketball players and how their lives are affected by their ties to their men. In the very first episode, we’re already seeing drama come out mainly from Royce Reed, who is a former Orlando Magic and Miami Heat dancer and mother of NBA center Dwight Howard’s son.

In the episode, we see Reed display some controversial behavior at a party hosted by rapper Ludacris and NFL player Terrell Owens. I believe she participates in a dance contest and gets a little too freaky for any of the other ladies’ liking. One cast member was even concerned that her teenage daughter would see it.

Shaunie O’Neal, who is the (ex) wife of Shaquille, is an executive producer of the show and cast member who wants to share their point of view on how complicated their lives are when they are linked to NBA players. The interesting part is the fact that none of the women on the show are currently married to a NBA player with the exception of Jennifer Williams, wife to Eric Williams.

The other women who appear on the show includes Reed, ex-girlfriend of Dwight Howard, Evelyn Lozada, ex-fiancee of Antoine Walker, Suzie Ketcham, ex-girlfriend of Michael Olowokondi, Erikka Moxam and Shaunie.
